Black Barts Steakhouse and Musical Revue

20151217_182624“Great Steaks and Fun Live Music” summarizes my experiences at Black Bart’s Steakhouse.

With a western flare that even John Wayne would have called “home”, this restaurant has mouth watering steaks served with a song.  Using musical community members and Northern Arizona University music majors for their waiters and waitresses, the atmosphere is truly something to sing about – in more ways than one.  Performing on stage, wait staff sing songs from Broadway, Disney and even an occasional guest request.  Nick Gabriel, general manager, emphasizes quality music by holding musical auditions and then teaching their musicians how to wait tables.

Nick also shares how Black Bart’s has been a family run enterprise for over 30 years.  His grandfather and grandmother, Lee and Ora Pedrick, bought Black Bart’s RV Park and property in 1976.  The park and future restaurant were named after the legendary road agent turned stagecoach robber, Black Bart.  He is known to never have wounded or killed anyone during his 28 successful stagecoach robberies.  In 1979, Nick’s grandfather broke ground for building the Black Bart’s Restaurant.  The restaurant continues to be owned and managed by this same family.  Lee and Ora’s daughter, Carol Gabriel, is the trustee, and her son, Nick Gabriel, the general manager.

Being awarded a 2015 Winner of the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor, Black Bart’s continues to provide quality food and entertainment for the entire family.  They seek to serve only the highest quality of Mid-Western beef.  Besides being known for their flavorful and tender steaks, Black Bart’s serves salmon, shrimp, baby back ribs, chicken and burgers, as well as pasta, salad and sides.  One can select from an array of souvenirs by which to remember your time at this well-established restaurant.  They sell T-shirts, mugs, glasses, hat pins and gift certificates.  Black Bart’s can also easily accommodate banquets from 20 to 300 people.  Whether you want a night out with your significant other, family or your entire workforce, Black Bart’s is a place to ‘get away from it all’ and enjoy great food and engaging musical  entertainment.
