FAT OLIVES? Yes – it IS the name of a restaurant – a really great place to eat in Flagstaff, AZ.
The owner’s vision was to create a place that served authentic neapolitan style Italian food from Naples – a dream made into reality.
The fire brick oven was handcrafted by the Valoriani family in Italy. Their mozzarella and stracciatella cheeses are hand-made daily from fresh curd. They try and use fresh organic local markets and farms to obtain their produce.
Their veggies taste fresh and their wood fired pizzas are amazing. We enjoy watching the chefs make their pizzas using the restaurant’s authentic brick oven. We have never had a bad plate of food, and I don’t think you will either. Also, try the patio and fountain area that add a nice touch to outdoor dining in the summertime.
BUT – as in all restaurants – “the proof is in the personal tasting”. If you are in Flagstaff and you like great Italian food, give Fat Olives a try – then let me know how it goes. ENJOY!
